Jimmy Meixiong is a columnist for the Harvard Political Review. Although interested in all international politics and world news, he blogs about Asian affairs in a desperate attempt to overcome the guilt of not being "Asian enough" to understand his parent's jokes. He comes from Georgia and was raised throughout the Deep South. However, Jimmy regrettably does not have a gentlemanly southern accent. His academic interests primarily involve science (specifically cellular biology). Science has instilled strong notions of empirical logic and skepticism, and it is from these insights that he draws inspiration. Although it is hard at times, he seeks to remain unbiased towards both sides of the argument and does not classify himself as belonging to either political party. Outside of academia, Jimmy enjoys a nice pair of slacks, wearing visors indoors, and perpetuating stereotypes by fanatically playing Starcraft.

Internet Takes on the Chinese Government

Why an average case of Chinese corruption has become a national, internet-driven frenzy. With the recent conclusion of President Hu’s official state visit to the United States, it is a good time to assess what was actually accomplished during this meeting. Lawmaker’s rhetoric during President Hu’s state visit

The Importance of Unbiased Press

While enjoying the relatively mild weather and being extremely thankful to have made it home (and onto a plane) before the monster blizzard hit the Northwest, I came across a story about said blizzard on Fox news while absentmindedly flipping through channels. The news piece started off focusing on how some people lacked heating oil for the cold but quickly ... Read More
